You can rest assured that as we are designing your new site we are also thinking about the experience your visitors are going to have, we want to make it the best possible for them.

Usability

If something is useable, it means that it works really well. And that's exactly what we can offer you.

We create our sites with usability best practices in place as part of the basic package.

We can also conduct research and testing of specific groups of people to ensure that your particular audience is catered for.  This gets really interesting if you'd like us to compare your old site to the new version, to see how the improvements are actively working.

Best practices combined with specific research have an impact upon every area of a new site.  It helps us to make decisions about the best mediums available to you, it forms part of the initial design concepts we submit and the way we recommend you structure your site, plus it moulds the manner in which content is formatted and presented.

A usable something saves people time (without them even realising it) and a successful visit to a useable something encourages a repeat visit.

Accessibility

Propelled by the increasingly high profile of the Disability Discrimination Act, the industry has raised its standards for site builds over the past few years.

Regardless of the kind of technology being used, everybody has the right to access the same information.  People with disabilities can use a variety of specialist equipment to aid the usage of sites, and so it's important that sites are designed and built with this in mind.

In addition to building sites incorporating usability best practices, we also conform to level 'A' (Priority 1) of the W3C accessibility standards as a basic requirement.  If you wish to raise the standard further, we can take your site to level 'AA' (Priority 2) or level 'AAA' (Priority 3).

Although we use W3C as the general rule, we're also committed to working with specialised authorities, such as the Royal National Institute for the Blind, to ensure we produce a site that caters for the needs of your audience.
